Steve Jones, M.A., L.C.P.C.

 Clinical Director

Since joining Alliance in 1991, Steve has treated adults and adolescents, individuals, couples and families who struggle with a variety of problems. These issues include grief and depression, anxiety disorders and panic attacks, adult children of alcoholic/dysfunctional families, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, marital and family problems and faith issues. His areas of specialty also include treating obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), sleep problems and men’s issues. Steve is an experienced group therapist and currently has a men’s therapy group which meets weekly.

“I believe that, while most of our wounds happen in the context of relationships, our healing comes almost exclusively through our relationships. I see my role as offering support, encouragement and direction to those journeying from pain and brokenness to healing and wholeness.”

Steve earned his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Wheaton College Graduate School and was licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the mid ‘90’s. He also completed a two-year training program in Gestalt therapy. Since 2004, Steve has served Alliance as Co-Director of Clinical Services.

Steve enjoys time with family and regularly contributes to the life of his church community. His personal hobbies include biking, playing guitar, and watching sci-fi series and movies.
