“Sometimes, life doesn’t make sense. Pain, suffering, and betrayal throw us for a loop and this is often difficult, confusing, and lonely. It is my privilege to encourage and walk alongside individuals and families on this meaning-making journey. My hope is to create a safe environment in which people can process their current trials and learn skills to face difficult times ahead.”

While Sam has experience working with a variety of concerns, his primary focus is on sexual and gender identity concerns, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relational issues, and adolescent challenges and behavior problems. He has training in exposure/response prevention treatment for OCD, social anxiety, and phobias. Additionally, much of his experience has focused on helping individuals and families navigate difficulties related to chronic mental health concerns.

On a more personal note, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, taking care of his aquariums, and tending to his plants. He is also a nerd who enjoys playing chess, playing on the Nintendo Switch, watching Star Wars, and reading.
