Ken Phillips, M.D.,

Psychiatrist, Medical Director

Ken is the founder and medical director of Alliance Clinical Associates. He has been in practice in Wheaton for over 25 years. In addition to his practice with Alliance, Ken is involved in a number of hospital programs including a crisis stabilization program and partial hospital programs for adolescents and adults at Central DuPage Hospital. A member of both the American Psychiatric Association and the Christian Medical Society, Ken is concerned about the integration of psychology and Christian faith. He has special interest in working with depression, anxiety disorders, adolescent and family problems, and recovery from childhood sexual abuse.

"Most of my patients would much rather have a physical problem, like a broken leg, than an emotional one where they look fine on the outside but suffer great pain on the inside. I’m an optimistic doctor who loves to help depressed people feel better."

Ken completed his undergraduate education at Northwestern University, and went on to medical school at the University of Cincinnati. Following a period of foreign medical service in India, he undertook internship and specialty training in psychiatry at the University of Chicago. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Ken enjoys wakeboarding, golf, and playing the piano and keyboards in a church worship band.
