Jane Jung, Psy.D,

Licensed Clinical Psychologist


Jane is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with individuals, couples, and families on issues such as anxiety, perfectionism, codependency, depression, complex PTSD, low self-esteem, OCD, relationship struggles, parenting, major life transitions, cultural identity, grief/loss, and spiritual faith concerns. 


Prior to joining Alliance, she worked at Meier Clinics for 18 years and was the Director of Breakaway, an intensive after-school program for adolescents, for 6 years, while also seeing outpatients. Dr. Jung also worked for a time in Meier’s adult partial hospital- ization program, Catalyst, running a spiritual growth group and working with individual adult clients. As a postdoctoral fellow she served as the Clinical Coordinator of the ProActive Kids Foundation whose goal was to work with children and their families in preventing obesity, and was trained in PREPARE/ENRICH by Life Innovations, Inc. in 2009 and Family Wellness in 2007.


Dr. Jung received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University in 1999 and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in 2005. Her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology was obtained from Wheaton College in 2010.

 

Dr. Jung’s therapy style is relational, client-centered, insight-oriented, and eclectic. She views therapy as a relational process that aims to provide hope and healing. "I believe in creating space for clients to process whatever is happening in their life so that they can grow in their relationship with themselves, others, and God." She enjoys integrating faith into counseling with clients who specifically desire this.


Dr. Jung is Korean American, married, and has two growing teenage boys. She enjoys strolling through beautiful gardens, drinking tea over coffee, and listening to engaging audiobooks in the car.
