Erica Forkner, L.C.P.C.
Erica Forkner is a licensed psychotherapist with a master’s degree from Wheaton College Graduate School.
Erica works with children starting at age 3, adolescents, and young adults. She is trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy, a non-directive play therapy approach that encourages children toward increased self-esteem, improved self-regulation, widened emotional vocabularies, and expanded worldviews. She is passionate about empowering families toward greater health and wholeness and finds involving parents in child therapy to be essential to children's growth and healing.
She has also completed various trainings in trauma studies and utilizes the following evidence-based treatments for treating trauma: Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Written Exposure Therapy.
