Elena Renken, PsyD.,

Licensed Clinical Psychologist


Elena Renken has been licensed as a clinical psychologist since 2020. Prior to joining Alliance, Elena was a staff psychologist in the Mental Health and Counseling department at Yale University and provided therapy to undergraduate and graduate students. Elena received her doctoral degree at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL.

Elena treats a broad range of mental health concerns but specializes in treating individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with adjunctive Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has completed advanced training in treating OCD through the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI).


Elena also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and ACT to treat other anxiety disorders (including panic disorder and phobias) and difficulties with emotion regulation. Finally, Elena has extensive experience treating individuals with depression, bipolar disorder, and psychosis.

Elena has advanced training in the integration of faith and mental health and enjoys working with people who consider faith, religion, and/or spirituality important parts of their identity. 


In her free time, Elena enjoys reading, running, and chasing after her toddlers.
