Tim Shields, M.A., L.C.P.C.
Therapist
Tim’s approach to therapy is based on a strong belief that change is possible.
"What I love most about being a therapist is seeing the resiliency of people. It’s a privilege to help people overcome significant obstacles and pain. Therapy provides a unique opportunity for people to evaluate life’s difficulties, gain awareness, and move forward with a renewed sense of hope and direction."
Tim received his graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in 1998. He is a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and has extensive experience from a variety of mental health settings.
Tim works with children, adolescents and adults through individual, couple, and family therapy. He specializes in anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, communication/relational issues, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and autistic spectrum disorders. Tim also helps people face life transition, loss and spiritual concerns.
When he is not at Alliance, Tim enjoys being outdoors, listening to live music, playing a variety of sports, and spending time with family and friends.
